Solar Storm : On Friday last week, a powerful solar storm hit the Earth. Because of this, a bright glow was seen in the sky from Tasmania to Britain. Due to this, communication satellites and power grids were also damaged at some places. There was power failure in many areas. Earlier, solar storm had hit the Earth in October 2003. That solar storm was named Halloween Storm. Now again scientists have warned of another explosion in 2025.

A Harvard astronomer said that the Sun has not yet reached its solar maximum. The Sun has a cycle of 11 years and solar maximum is its most energetic point, from here the energy released increases further. Solar maximum is expected to occur next year, July 2025. The US National Space Weather Center estimates that the number of sunspots during solar maximum in 2025 could be 115. Solar flares erupt from these sun spots, called coronal mass ejections. Scientists say that solar storm can cause disturbances in satellite and GPS.

In its report, DailyMail quoted Dr. Jonathan McDowell as saying that in the next one or two years we may see very big storms. Last week, geomagnetic conditions were seen due to solar storm. The solar storm originated from a sunspot on the Sun. It was larger than the sun spot that caused the Carrington phenomenon in 1859.

Many more solar storms will come.
According to the Space Weather Prediction Center of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), many more solar storms may come in the coming days. Some incidents have been seen in Australia and Northern Europe. In the phenomenon of aurora, when the particles coming from the Sun enter the Earth's magnetic field, due to the reaction caused by it, the particles coming from the Sun appear as bright colorful lights.
