This claim is going viral on social media. Whenever something goes viral on social media, they don't cover it up by saying anything. Now a claim is becoming very famous on social media which is that old Rs 100 notes are going to be banned very soon. In the famous claim, quoting the Reserve Bank of India, it is also being said that now the old notes can be changed till April 30, 2024. After which its legal validity will end and it will not be accepted.
Now it is being claimed that these old Rs 100 notes are going to be discontinued very soon. Now a photo of old Rs 100 note has also been posted in this post. With which he wrote that now this old note of Rs 100 is going to be discontinued soon. RBI has set the test date for note change as March 31, 2024.

For your information, now this famous claim has been found to be completely wrong in fact-check. Also, the RBI circular was not issued by the government. In which it is being claimed that old notes of Rs 100 are going to be discontinued. To verify the famous claim, I searched for news related to it on Google, but no such news was found on any platform. After which we checked the official website of RBI.
RBI has not received this information even on its social media handles. Now this post of July 19, 2018 has appeared on RBI's X account. In which the photo of the new Rs 100 note has also been posted. In which it is clearly written that old notes will also remain in circulation. RBI issued new guidelines saying Rs 100 note will be banned again after 36 days.
